Association of Ramaytush Ohlone

The Association of Ramaytush Ohlone (ARO) serves the interests of the Ramaytush peoples and Ramaytush Tribe.  The purposes of the ARO align with our ancestral responsibilities to care for Mother Earth and to care for the people who reside in our ancestral homeland. The ARO partners with other organizations and agencies to pursue its objectives:
  • the rematriation of our ancestral homeland
  • the preservation and revitalization of our language, culture, and community
  • research, consultation, and education to ensure accuracy in the academy and in public culture
  • ecological restoration
  • community service​
  • the sharing of our perspectives and values in art and culture
